“Managing a large number of chefs, porters and kitchens is a logistical challenge when things are running smoothly without having staffing issues on top. The college strives to provide high quality, innovative and VFM foods and refreshments to its students and staff. Our existing temporary labour supplier has struggled to support the quality and consistency of staff required to deliver this promise adding strain to an already busy environment. Since working with Claire and Richard at AJ Catering Staff, they have opened my mind to what’s possible with a little bit of effort. I have taken porters and chefs from them since day one and can say they have been here until we had to close for the Coronavirus lockdown, but will be coming back again. There were some exceptional staff in the team which we also offered permanent positions too! They took time to truly understand our operation and the various moving parts. I especially like the speed of response when things do go wrong with the emphasis on quality. As a testament to Claire, on one occasion when she was visiting the college, one of the catering assistants called in sick. They were unable on this occasion to find someone at such short notice so Claire herself stepped in and covered the shift! I would have no hesitation in recommending AJ Catering Staff to any organisation who is looking to improve their staffing solution, especially those like our business in the education sector which has its own unique challenges”
